Dr. Peter Bock talks about a surgical method to treat persistent complaints in the area of the ball of the foot (metatarsalgia) if insoles do not help. During this surgery a burr is used in order elevate the painful head of the metatarsal head. The surgery is performed via a little skin incision. After the surgery the patient is allowed immediate weight bearing with a special shoe.
