Dr. Bock is a board-certified Orthopaedic Specialist with surgical focus on Foot and Ankle and Knee conditions and more than 20 years of surgical experience.
Dr. Bock started his career as a foot and ankle specialist in 2005 at the Danube hospital leading the foot unit this hospital until 2013. In 2013 Dr. Bock was asked to join the newly founded foot and ankle unit at the Orthopedic hospital Vienna Speising. 2016 Dr. Bock became the head of the foot and ankle team at this hospital. Dr. Bock worked in this position until September 2020.
In September 2020 Dr. Bock decided to dedicate his entire time to his patients in his private practice.
Dr. Bock has been in private practice since 2006. Dr. Bock has vast clinical experience. He has performed more than 4000 foot and ankle surgeries.
Dr. Bock is a renowned Austrian Foot & Ankle Surgeon. Dr. Bock’s skills however extend to knee surgery including arthroscopy, a surgical procedure that has become vastly developed in the last 30 years.
Keeping up to date with the latest technology is evidenced in particular by having had the distinct honor to lead the Austrian Foot & Ankle Society as president from 2016 to 2017 and being a member of the Educational Committee of the European Foot & Ankle Society; having been a lecturer at the Medical University of Vienna and private Sigmund Freud University of Vienna; and having had the honor to be regularly asked to give lectures at various national and international meetings.
Dr. Bock is committed to the advancement of orthopedic surgery evidenced by his commitment with the European Foot & Ankle Society which regularly takes him around Europe on teaching assignments. Dr. Bock also receives numerous doctors in training from around the world.
In 2007, Dr. Bock was one of two European-wide and in 2013 one of five world-wide selected orthopedic surgeons by the Traveling Fellowship Program of the American Foot and Ankle Society. On that occasion, he had the privilege of adding to his expertise one-on- one experience with some of the U.S. top foot surgeons at five prestigious hospitals including the prestigious Mercy Hospital (Dr. Mark Myerson) and Union Memorial Hospital (Dr. Lew Schon) in Baltimore.
