Where does my foot hurt? What is the source of my foot pain?

The foot is composed of 28 bones plus joints and ligaments, assembled to give the foot stability. A small problem in any of these areas of the foot can affect the entire foot and cause pain and instability. Among the most common foot ailments are: Hallux valgus or bunion, hallux rigidus, hammertoe, clawtoe, mallet toe, Ganglion, Morton Neuroma, general arthritis of the foot or pain around the ball of the foot.
